About me
Hi, I’m Nora — a wildlife photographer currently based in Istanbul.
My passion for nature and photography has accompanied me for most of my life. Growing up between a small village in Germany and the vibrant city of Istanbul shaped how I see the world: always searching for quiet moments of wildlife within the movement of everyday life.
During an exchange year in Ecuador, my connection to nature deepened profoundly. I hiked through the high Andes, explored the misty cloud forests and the Amazon rainforest, and dived alongside sharks and penguins in the waters of the Galápagos Islands — always with my camera by my side. Those experiences shaped not only my photography, but also my understanding of how fragile and extraordinary these ecosystems are.
Through my images, I want to give wildlife a voice. My work aims to reveal the beauty, vulnerability and resilience of the natural world, and to encourage people to care about the places and species that share our planet.
I see photography as a form of visual storytelling — a way to create emotional connections that can inspire awareness and conservation.
Alongside wildlife photography, I also enjoy exploring travel and occasional street photography, as well as portraying people, pets and their special moments.
When I’m not behind the camera, I love connecting with like-minded people who share a passion for nature and storytelling. At the same time, some of my favorite moments happen in complete silence — waiting patiently in the field, observing wildlife and experiencing the calm that nature brings.
My long-term goal is to work alongside conservation organisations and researchers, using photography to support projects that protect wildlife and fragile ecosystems while showing the beauty of the astonishing nature around us.
